OUR SALES POLICY AND BELIEFS
AT THE NEVER DONE RANCH, THE SALE DOESN'T STOP AT THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY AS WE WAVE GOODBYE! We believe that the sale begins when you sign the bill of sale and load your goat. We will continue to offer you our assistance and advice and any after sale help you may need. Dennis was raised on a small farm where his mother sold produce, chickens and eggs. At a very young age, Dennis learned four things from his parents. Those are some of the ideals he lives by. "A man is only as good as his word" "If you do bad business, it spreads like a wildfire" "If you do right by people, they come back and then tell their friends" "Always do what you can to make the customer happy" We have maintained our business over the past twelve years, based on these principles. We were told when we started in the boer business that we would not make it if we were not active in the show ring. We proved them all wrong! We are not active in the show ring and we do minimal advertising in publications so most of our business comes from the website and word of mouth. We thank all of our prior customers that have spoke well of us and came back for more quality breeding stock when they were in the market for additions to their herd We guarantee that the pedigree on the papers is the pedigree of the goat as we do DNA testing at U.C. Davis in California to prove it. All of our herd sires and main brood does have been DNA tested. We are in the process of DNA testing all of our flush kids that we will offer for sale.
The Never Done flush kids were the first DNA verified progeny ever sold at a production sale, (Southern Classic) and some of the few DNA verified progeny sold private treaty. As yet, we are unable to annotate the DNA on the registration papers but we feel that soon the registries will come to see that this is a wave of the future and find a way to add this to your papers. Right now, we provide a copy of the verification from the U.C. Davis laboratory. We will guarantee all bucks and does sold with papers to be breeders. We do not limit the time frame as we know that many of you, like us, prefer not to breed until the does are over 12 months old. We will work with you to make good any breeding animal that does not breed within a reasonable time period providing that the animal was well cared for.
Words to Raise Goats By When we first started in goats, we were very lucky to have Dr. Frank Pinkerton as our first contact. He asked why we wanted to raise goats - I forget what our answer was at the time but over the years we have learned several lessons. Dr. Pinkerton told us one thing right off the line - He said " I have met many rich people who raise goats but I have never met one who got rich selling goats!" We both have full time jobs and the goats are another full time job. Believe me when I say that we do not do this for the money but for the love of these animals and a desire to improve the breed. |
