Thanks for visiting our website. We are
Dennis and Judy Ansetta and we started The Never Done Ranch in 1995 with a
few pygmy goats just for fun. Soon afterwards we saw our first fullblood boer goats and it was love at first sight. We purchased some
percentage boers and our first fullblood buck, Stone's Lucas, a flush
brother to Stone's Nelson, Stone's Martin and Stone's Patch. These
animals were embryos imported by Stone's Ranch in Alberta, Canada from
the herd of Jurie Schoemann in South Africa. We
became interested in the colored fullbloods but were told by many of the original
Texas
breeders that we would be wasting our time raising color as they were
culls and would never sell. In 1997 we purchased a couple of colored
percentage goats to raise wethers, and in 1999, we decided we really liked the colored
goats, so
we purchased our first full blood red boers and the rest, as they say,
"is history".
We have worked very hard, traveled many miles and
looked at many goats in our quest to build our quality red, black and
paint herd. We have a
diverse set of bloodlines with high performance genetics spanning four continents.
As you view the bucks and does on these pages you will note that many of
them trace back to National Champions. While many customers want to know
how many ennoblements are in a pedigree it is our belief that while
there are many boers ennobled each year, there is only one National Champion per
association each year. We are striving to produce the best colored fullblood boer goats
in the world.
We stay busy as we both have full time jobs. In
addition, Dennis is Vice President of the Beauregard/Vernon Parish Jr.
Livestock Association, and
I am the secretary for the Louisiana Meat Goat Association, and the webmaster for our website. If
you send an email, please be patient as we will get back to you as soon
as we can.
Take a look at our pages of colored fullbloods and we
hope you like what you see!
